Understanding Seafood Seasons
Seafood has seasons — just like produce. Weather patterns, water temperatures, migration cycles, and harvesting regulations all influence availability.
We believe in educating our customers so you understand not just what you’re buying — but when and why it’s available.
Shad Season
Shad are typically available in the spring during their spawning run. Their roe is especially prized during this short window of availability.
Crab Season
Hard shell crabs are generally available through the warmer months, with peak availability depending on local water conditions.
Soft Shell Crabs
Soft shells are available when blue crabs molt, which occurs seasonally. Because this process is natural and unpredictable, availability can fluctuate quickly.
Fresh Seafood Meals
We are now offering freshly prepared meals Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 AM – 4:45 PM

These meals are currently available for walk-in customers only.
